Yamaha Transfer Tips
General guidance — this tool does not automate anything on your instrument.
Use a USB flash drive formatted as FAT/FAT32 when your keyboard asks for it, and let the instrument format it if unsure.
Keep a backup of the original file. This tool always writes a new file and leaves the original untouched.
Use short, plain filenames without unusual characters; some instruments show limited characters.
Always test the prepared file on the keyboard itself before a rehearsal or performance.
Channel 10 stays on Channel 10 so drum parts land on the drum kit as expected.
This tool works with Standard MIDI Files only. It does not read or write Yamaha proprietary Style/SFF or pack formats.
